MECI

Afternoon Tea with
Lola Grace

Tuesday 21 February
14:00 – 16:00

In 2005, AIWC member Lola Nashashibi Grace founded the Middle East Children’s Institute (MECI) to develop and implement innovative approaches to conflict resolution and economic development by addressing the needs of women and children in the Middle East who are victims of war. MECI offers transforming , comprehensive community development programs that deliver positive change and hope to children and women crippled by despair. MECI is one of the charities that AIWC has elected to support in the 2011/12 club year.

Lola will join us on 21 February to present MECI’s projects and discuss the events and circumstances that moved her to form this organisation. After her presentation we shall be serving a traditional afternoon tea and there will be an opportunity to chat with Lola informally.
