Terre des Hommes Valais

Last year at the Thanksgiving Luncheon, we did a fantastic job donating school packs to Terre des Hommes La Maison. This year we are once more collecting school supplies to donate to this organization. To help you with your shopping for this cause, here is a list of the contents included in each complete school pack:

• 12 colored pencils
  
• 5 pencils (hb)
  
• 4 pens—1 red, 1 black, 2 blue
  
• 1 eraser
  
• 1 pencil sharpener
  
• 2 math notebooks
  
• 2 writing notebooks
  
• 1 pencil case
  
• 1 Laurousse dictionary (optional)

Donated items may be either dropped off at the clubhouse or brought to the Thanksgiving Luncheon to be held on 26 November. When dropping items off at the clubhouse, please be sure that they are clearly marked for Community Services.

Paddle for Cancer Dragonboard Festival 2009

On 6 September, a number of club members joined forces with friends to participate in the ESCA Paddle for Cancer Dragonboard Festival held on Lac de Joux. The teams were called The Vaud Vixens, and together raised CHF 4,000 for this worthy cause.
