AIWC Executive Board
The AIWC Executive Board consists of four elected officers plus the chairs of each of the standing committees.
President: Deirdre McDaniel
President: Oversees general operations and staff. Attends the monthly Program. With Treasurer and Vice President oversees Club’s finances. Writes monthly Newsletter message. Liaises with all Standing Committee Chairwomen.
Vice-President: Joan Goodman
Vice President: Oversees Activity Groups and liaises with all Activity Group Leaders. Hosts Activity Fair and Volunteer Thank You Tea. With President and Treasurer, oversees Club’s finances.
Treasurer: Liz Coates
Maintains budgets. Generates financial reports. Approves expenses. Pays bills. Liaises with the Club’s bank, taxing entities, utilities and insurance.
Secretary: Sue Ferguson
Secretary: Creates and distributes minutes from monthly Executive Board meetings. Writes monthly board report for Newsletter. Maintains general Club email address. Responsible for external communication and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff.
AIWC Standing Committee Chairs
Community Services Co-Chairs:
Gilla Stead, Carole Leistam, Rhonda Langham, Catherine Rogerson
Organizes fundraisers. Interfaces with charities and distributes money and aid. Oversees Mon Amie outreach program for new Members.
Hospitality: Linda Dyson
Committee hosts Meet & Greet Coffees with Membership Committee. Welcomes members and guests to events. Coordinates Area Hostesses. Visits and sends cards/flowers to sick members or families of deceased Members. Maintains supplies for Clubhouse kitchen and bathroom.
Living in Lausanne 2011: Lynne Field
Organizes the annual 3-day seminar. Fulfills, invoices and reconciles orders for the Living in Lausanne book. Oversees and coordinates the updating and re-printing for the book.
Membership: Sue Barry
Processes new member applications and renewals, maintains membership database. Creates the annual Membership Directory and the monthly mailing labels for Newsletter. With the Hospitality Committee, hosts monthly Meet & Greet Coffees.
Newsletter: Claire Ullyett
Committee creates monthly Newsletter publications. Coordinates word processing, editing, proofreading, layout, printing and mailing. Currently also handles advertising.
Parliamentarian: Lisa Mechnig-Girodano
Provides guidance on the Club’s Constitution, policies and rules of procedure. Provides Executive Board training. Liaises with the Nominating Committee and if one is called for, chairs the Constitutional Amendment Committee.
Webmaster: Christina Surtees
Committee updates and manages the content and functionality of Club’s website.
Programs Committee Chair (not currently filled): Organizes all facets and registration of the Club’s monthly events and continuing education programs both on and off-site.
Office Manager: Maija Remlingter
